Real Skincare.
Real Indian Skin.
No filters. No sponsored opinions. Just honest routines and ingredient breakdowns that actually work for oily, acne-prone Indian skin — tested in real Indian weather.
Why I Started This Blog
For years, my face would turn oily and shiny within 2 hours of washing it. I tried every face wash, every toner, every "miracle serum" I saw on Instagram. Nothing worked. Some things made it worse.
The problem wasn't my skin. It was that every skincare guide I found was written for Western skin types, Western weather, and Western budgets. Nothing accounted for 35°C humidity in Mumbai, or ₹500 product budgets, or Indian skin's specific tendency toward post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation.
Once I got the routine right — the right cleanser, the right actives in the right order, and most importantly, the right sunscreen — everything changed. My skin stayed matte longer. Breakouts reduced. Pigmentation started fading. And I didn't need to spend a fortune to get there.
This blog is everything I wish I had found when I started.

About the Author
Oily Skin Fix India
Skincare Researcher · Product Tester · India
I spent years frustrated with skincare advice that didn't account for Indian skin, Indian weather, or Indian budgets. Every guide assumed Western conditions — mild summers, low humidity, products available at Sephora. Nothing was written for someone dealing with 38°C heat in Delhi, 85% humidity in Mumbai, and a ₹500 product budget.
So I started testing everything myself. Every product on this blog has been used on real oily, acne-prone Indian skin — not for one day, not for a week, but for a minimum of 4 weeks before I write a word about it. Week-by-week tracking. Different climate conditions. Honest notes about what failed, not just what worked.
My focus is ingredient science — understanding why a product works or doesn't, not just whether it does. Niacinamide at 10% vs 5%. Why salicylic acid belongs in a cleanser and not just a serum. Why skipping moisturiser makes oily skin worse, not better. The science is simple once it's explained in plain language — and that's what this blog exists to do.
